RESTORING THROUGH REST, NATURE AND HEALTHY PLEASURES IN AN OPEN-AIR PARADISE AT ONE OF THE WORLD’S TOP RATED RETREAT DESTINATIONS
February 26th-March 5th, 2022
Nestled above the Pacific Ocean on 12 private acres of tropical jungle with a private and pristine beach, Haramara (“Mother Sea”) is an exclusive and intimate seaside yoga resort offering sensual tropical harmony to every guest.
A week-long retreat created just for women. Explore practices to access tranquility, deep rest and renewed joy in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
The sleeping cabana experience is enhanced without electricity allowing the illumination of oil lamps and candles, leaving behind the tedious demands of our electronic age.
Spend free time relaxing at the pool, or take an après-hike dip in this stunning infinity above the Pacific.
This retreat marks my first non-essential travel "vacation for the joy of it" since February 2020 when I was last at Haramara.
I feel comfortable offering a live gathering at Haramara Retreat, nearSayulita, Mexico with my collaborator Lisa Dumas because we both have each been lucky enough to experience its breathtaking open-air architectural design and lush, luxurious atmosphere. We feel sure we are far more COVID safe this February in Haramara's open-air setting than anywhere in cold New England.
Lisa and I are delighted to offer you a week at this dreamy place, sometimes described as “Robinson Crusoe meets Architectural Digest”.
If you haven't joined me at Haramara before, let me tell you a little about this paradise. The resort is situated on 12 private acres of land on the magnificent, rugged coast of the Pacific Ocean, backed by the Sierra Madre Mountains in Mexico. The accommodations are gorgeous private casitas that merge inside and out, set apart from one another, each nestled within tropical jungle vegetation on a hillside overlooking a private, pristine beach.
Please be aware that proof of vaccination is required for this retreat, and the property itself, owned by an incredible woman with a vision of creating an untouched, eco-friendly sanctuary allows guests to truly retreat from their lives and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. She has employed the same high quality, kind and thoughtful staff for years and has set high Covid standards that you can read more about here.
This opportunity for reflection, rest and pleasure in an idyllic setting might be for you if:
-the demands of life and the realities of disconnection have left you distracted, exhausted and disenchanted.
-you can't remember the last time you felt lit up by something.
-you crave time in nature to unplug and revitalize.
-you are interested in movement and contemplative practices to encourage self-discovery and self-compassion.
-you are intrigued by the idea of combining travel with opportunities to gain skills that can help to cultivate more acceptance, tranquility and joy in your life.
A week in the sensual, lush surroundings of Haramara, the destination that Yoga Journal calls "one of the top ten yoga retreats in the world" is the perfect time and place to unplug, reset, and reconnect with who you are, beyond the usual roles you play in your life.

About Your Guides: Mary Campbell is a long-time women's empowerment and intimacy teacher, ordained minister and spiritual counselor, wedding officiant, and educator. She is devoted to helping people release what blocks their joy and open to the widest range of what is possible at the intersection of the sacred and the senses. With university degrees and success in career and family life, as she approached mid-life she watched her satisfaction and libido diminish. Under-nourished, despite all the trappings of the West’s success story, she found her voice and her deeper happiness by divining – like a divining rod finds water deep beneath the Earth’s crust – a fuller connection to the natural world and her own present-moment sense pleasure, what she believes every woman is born to enjoy. Mary is the author of the forthcoming book: The Pleasure Playbook: 13 Invitations for Awakening Joy. She offers women’s workshops and retreats near her home in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts and around the globe and works privately with individuals and couples wishing to deepen their connection with themselves, their loved ones and the wider world. You can find years of her periodic blogs and offerings at DiviningBeauty.com, on FB at DiviningBeauty, videos on her YouTube channel, and on Instagram.

We are limiting the number of retreat guests to a total of fifteen, including Mary and Lisa, so this experience will sell out quickly. We intend to gather as a safe bubble throughout the week. We request that guests refrain from walking into nearby Sayulita until the last day of the retreat. Any guests choosing to spend the last free day in Sayulita will agree to have their remaining meals off site rather than coming back to the group.
Given COVID precautions, in order to secure shared double, triple, or quad accommodations at Haramara, we recommend registering with a friend or friends with whom you're comfortable sharing space. In the case that we have multiple single guests wanting shared casitas, we will accommodate the best we can given our small group. If you wish to attend the retreat without bringing a friend to share your casita, and we do not have another single to pair you with, you must register as a single (or speak to us personally about other options).
If you are intending to join us, we encourage you to save your spot by the third week of November so we can reserve the appropriate casitas for our bubble.
A non-refundable down-payment of half of the retreat cost will save your spot, along with proof of vaccination. Total payment due by November 23rd, 2022. Please message me with any questions you might have.
It is mandatory for each guest to acquire travel insurance that includes the option to “cancel for any reason” as there will be no refunds due to change of plans, travel interruptions, or illness. To assist you in this new world of travel arrangements, our retreat features the use of a skilled travel advisor to book your flights, plan any additional travel following the retreat and ensure you have purchased the proper travel insurance to protect your investment.
Canadian guests, notice that we have crafted a price that makes the retreat more accessible for you. Rather than have you pay the complete and challenging conversion costs that come with purchasing in US funds, we have compromised on our teaching fees for your easier involvement in this powerfully enlivening experience that past attendees call one of the most unforgettable trips they have ever treated themselves to.
Here's what they say...
“I was not passionate about traveling to Mexico but wanted the experience of the retreat. I admit I like the comforts of home, so I was nervous about open-air accommodations. I was completely blown away by the experience at Haramara. It is a magical, gorgeous, sensual setting that I would return to again and again. To be completely immersed in nature, the sounds of the jungle and the ocean, while feeling comfortable in my gorgeous cabana, was incredible. What I learned from Mary was the icing on the cake. I felt empowered, rested and inspired and I use the practices often to stay connected to my heart in a high-pressured world” - Dianne M, 2019 retreat at Haramara
“Sharing the gift of time with my precious sister in a most magical environment -- and connecting with Mary so deeply from the moment we met -- not only rejuvenated me, this time reminded me that YES WE ARE meant to be joyful. And passionate! And playful. And kind to OURSELVES first. With gratitude always! Thank you, Mary!” - SC, 2019 retreat at Haramara.
"A doorway into the sensuous greets you at Haramara. The location, the luxurious accommodations, the sound of the ocean rocking you to sleep, and the exquisite food all contribute to an outstanding experience of fun, self love, compassion, and acceptance. Mary’s gentle smile and inner knowing holds space for relaxing into deep connection with others, nature, the joy of being human and play. I am so grateful for how Mary holds space for the exploration of Divine Beauty. My sister and I loved each other up and met others of like mindedness. This experience still resonates within us and is a sweet memory to think back on. I recommend this retreat for all women". - DC, 2019 retreat at Haramara
