There's more to Halloween than the proverbial plastic jack-o-lanterns and twinkling orange lights.
More than candy, trick-or-treating, and kid's dress up.
Have you wondered why we make light of such a powerful and ancient holiday and its mysteries?
Ancient cultures around the world observed a holiday at this time of year. Samhain. Day of the Dead. All Soul's Day. Before it was commercialized into vapid meaninglessness, this time invited us toexplore the cyclical nature of life. Death. Letting Go. Transformation.
As much as we humans want to push away what scares us, our presence and curiosity will birth a greater sense of safety and freedom.
With all that’s dying around you, do you long to feel secure, your feet firmly planted in our Earth's rich soil, trusting the beneficent cycles that hold you?
Our fear-inspired culture teaches us to be afraid of the unknown. Not to trust our instincts or our bodies' wisdom! Our culture teaches us use our intellect to colonize our bodies' knowing.
So too many of us who identify as female do everything we can to protect against the unknown. Daily we try to managetoo much, thinking it will keep us safe and secure ... all the while scheduling the joy and aliveness out of our lives and bodies.
But our feminine roots - by their very nature - long to bewild and free !!!
It's too easy to forget who we are at our core. We run away from the darkness. From what we can't predict. From mystery. From our true home.
A holiday of sickly sweet candy can never satisfy our desire for real nectar.
We tie our life up in a bow that looks good from the outside, but too often leaves us over-scheduled and un-satisfied, overly-obliged and under-nourished.
I believe we as feminine beings long to reclaim the mystery that we are, but have been taught to mistrust.
This is what I know...
I need opportunities to remember the mysteries of my body and being as a feminine expression of Nature's cyclical energy. This Celtic Samhain time gives me a rare opportunity to go there . . . hopefully with you.
Our deepest feminine nature knows how to trust the unknown. Knows how to listen to our bodies' wisdom. Knows how to trust a safety sourced from within. Knows how to trust our shared wisdom.
We just need help re-membering ourselves!
Please join me at the turning of this season.

Gathering in the Time of COVID
If you choose to attend any of my in-person events, please be advised that in this time of increased precaution, we will gather safely outside to commune and connect, observing 6' social distancing. I will look to each woman who attends to use the precautions she most needs to maintain safety. We will accommodate one another's needs.
Guidelines: In-person attendance will be limited to 10 women. All activities will take place outdoors so that we may maintain proper social distancing protocols. Please wear layers. Masks are required when we first gather, but if distancing is maintained, will be optional should we all agree. A bathroom indoors will be available and hand sanitizer will be provided.
